Its generous fire chamber creates warmth and atmosphere across a larger seating area, while the integrated log store keeps firewood organised and close at hand. Clean folded edges, concealed construction and a naturally weathering finish give the SPAN a refined architectural presence.

The Pingewood SPAN 200 reimagines the outdoor fireplace in a wider, more architectural form. Its landscape fire opening provides an uninterrupted view of the flames, creating a strong focal point without relying on unnecessary detail. The broad fire chamber accommodates a substantial wood fire, delivering warmth across a larger seating area and creating an atmosphere that naturally draws people closer. Below, a full-width log store keeps fuel organised, ventilated and ready to use. It is integrated into the form of the fireplace, preserving the clean proportions while making practical use of the lower section.

Every part of the SPAN has been considered as part of the same structure.

The exterior panels fold inward at the edges, creating defined shadow lines and a more precise, substantial finish. Fixings are kept out of sight wherever possible, allowing the material and proportions to remain the focus.

The SPAN is crafted from Corten steel, chosen for its strength, durability and natural character. As the surface is exposed to the weather, it develops a protective patina that gradually deepens in tone. Each fireplace changes differently, creating a finish that belongs to its surroundings rather than sitting apart from them. No applied rust effect. No two finishes exactly the same.

A fireplace that becomes part of the space.

The wide proportions make the SPAN particularly suited to larger patios, landscaped gardens, outdoor rooms and hospitality settings. Position it against a wall, timber screen or architectural backdrop, or allow it to stand alone as the central feature of the terrace. Its low, horizontal form complements contemporary furniture and creates a natural boundary around an outdoor seating area.

The SPAN can be used as an open outdoor fireplace or paired with an optional removable stainless steel grill for live-fire cooking.

When cooking is finished, remove the grill and allow the fire to become the focus again.
