OBEL 190

The Pingewood OBEL 190 brings fire, food and atmosphere together in one architectural form. A wood burning outdoor fireplace, live fire grill and integrated log store, designed to become the natural centre of the garden.

Crafted from Corten steel and measuring 1900 × 750 × 500 mm, the OBEL delivers statement scale without an oversized footprint. The elevated fire opening makes cooking and tending the flames more comfortable, while the removable stainless steel grill and enclosed flue create a more considered outdoor experience.

The OBEL 190 is designed around the way outdoor spaces are used.

During the day, it becomes a practical live fire cooking station. As the temperature drops, it becomes a source of warmth, light and atmosphere.

The fire opening begins 700 mm above the ground, raising the fire and cooking area to a more comfortable working height. Logs can be added, food can be turned and the fire can be managed without constantly bending down.

A removable stainless steel grill sits within the fire chamber, allowing food to be cooked directly over the wood fire. Remove it when cooking is finished and the OBEL returns to being a clean, open outdoor fireplace.

A strong form. A considered footprint.

At 1900 mm high, the OBEL has the scale to become a genuine garden centrepiece. Its 750 mm width provides a generous fire and cooking area, while its 500 mm depth keeps the overall footprint controlled. The result is a fireplace that feels substantial without taking over the terrace. The straight sides, concealed flue and uninterrupted surfaces create a simple architectural silhouette suited to contemporary gardens, courtyards and outdoor entertaining spaces.

Corten steel, designed to change.

The exterior is made from Corten steel. When exposed to the weather, the surface gradually develops its own natural patina. The colour deepens and varies over time, giving every OBEL an individual finish that becomes part of the surrounding landscape. No artificial rust effect. No two finishes exactly the same.

Everything in its place.

The open log store beneath the fire chamber keeps fuel dry, organised and close to hand.

It also gives the fireplace a balanced, grounded appearance while making practical use of the lower section.

For larger installations, matching side log stores can be connected to the left, right or both sides of the fireplace.
