How to install your floor plate
Time needed: 5 minutes
A step by step guide on how to install your floor plate for your Barbow.
Unwrap packaging
Your boxed and bubble wrapped floor plate will require unwrapping. Use a knife to open, being careful not to damage the contents. Dispose of all packaging material, recycle where possible.
Floor plate positioning
This step is very important as it will be difficult to move your Pingewood after placement (they are very heavy). Ideal positioning is a minimum of 1 metre from combustible materials onto a flat and stable surface. Out of direct orientation to the wind.
Soft underlay (optional)
This step is not essential but any scrap carpet or soft underlay is ideal for placing your Barbow onto to avoid damaging the surface of the floor plate.
Pingewood Placement
Manoeuver your Barbow horizontally, this step will require two or more people. Place the two front legs down and then tilt the Barbow back so that the fire is level with the floor plate. Remove the underlay from underneath the legs by tilting the legs onto the other two legs.
Care
The Pingewood floor plate is coated in a thick layer of black ceramic which acts as a great barrier against moisture. Make sure not to crack it though.
The suface can be wiped down with a damp cloth.
