How to empty your Pingewood
Estimated reading time: 1 minute
The Pingewood has been designed so you will have to empty your Pingewood less often, when compared to other fire pits and chimineas.
Ash will build up overtime in the fuel bed of your fire. This is normal and should be emptied after every 3 uses depending on how much you use it and the amount of wood you’re burning at a time.
You should leave a 1 inch height of ash in the bed for every use. This will protect the moulded fuel bed and provide a good insulator for your fire so that it can achieve even hotter temperatures.
The fuel bed has been carefully moulded to make it easy to clean.
An ash shovel and bucket can be used to empty the fuel bed of the fire.
Do not allow the ash to overflow past the flat pitch of the fuel bed.
